Transportation
BRIDGES volunteers will provide transportation to and from BRIDGES activity events, sports activities, English Conversation or IGIG discussion groups on Thursday nights.
We cannot provide transportation for other reasons.
If you need transportation to a BRIDGES activity, call / text / WhatsApp Judith, the BRIDGES Transportation Coordinator, at 920-421-4980 before 2:00 pm the day of the activity. Please provide your name, location, address, and the number of people at your location needing transportation. Please be specific about where to pick you up.
Judith fields all student calls for transportation, and matches up the requests with one of the more than fifty BRIDGES volunteer drivers, including her husband Roger. The closer it gets to an event date, the harder it is to find a good match – so please let her know as soon as you know you need a ride.
Students PLEASE NOTE: when you call for a ride, the driver who takes you to the event will also be there to take you home from the event. If you know you will not be riding home with the person who drove you to the event, please tell the driver when they drop you off so they are not looking for you when they return after the event is over – appreciated!
Transportation providers will have a bright green sign in the front window of their vehicles.
There is no charge for this service.
Most rides are in volunteer drivers’ cars, but occasionally the Trolley gets the call…
